With a few scheduling techniques under your belt, you'll be able to cut the time you spend on scheduling and gain confidence building your project schedule.

The Project Scheduling Workshop will show you how. This highly practical and hands on workshop focuses on how to do real-life scheduling, when you are reliant on other people to give you info... and they aren't expert at estimating. It’s a course that gives you practical advice on setting good foundations for planning, getting people to work with you to break down the work and estimate, and real-world tips for managing the schedule.

You'll get access to the course that was taught live over 3 weeks, (so you access the recordings). Each lesson covers something actionable you can do to make project scheduling easier and more efficient. Each lesson is around 30 minutes of teaching plus time for discussion and Q&A.

Week 1: Planning to schedule

You’ll review the groundwork for a great project schedule including priorities and principles for planning. You’ll create a personal framework for planning success and/or a big picture plan if you are managing multiple projects (depending on where you are in your projects).

Week 2: Getting data for your schedule

You’ll move from your personal prep to working with others. We’ll talk about how to get people to tell you what you need to know for the schedule, how to break down the work, and estimating techniques. You’ll get ‘plug and play’ conversation starters to help you ask the right questions and a schedule audit checklist.

Week 3: Managing your schedule

You’ll learn practical tips for making your schedule work longer term. We’ll talk about dependency management and schedule risk, tracking progress and holding people accountable, how to schedule when you can’t see too far ahead and other tips!
